Algerian journalist and political activist Walid Kebir criticized the decision of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reimpose visas on Moroccan citizens wishing to enter Algeria, calling the decision a “breaking of kinship ties” and reflecting “the cowardice of the Algerian regime.” .

In a blog post published on his official social media account, Kabir said: “The criminal and womb-breaking regime has announced the imposition of visas on Moroccan citizens, to an extent that confirms the state of defeatism experienced by a cowardly regime. »

He added that this decision reflects the position of the defeated Algerian regime in the face of positive developments made by Morocco on the international level, particularly with regard to the recognition of the Moroccan Sahara.

According to the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this decision was taken based on what the ministry described as justifications linked to the regional and political situation. However, Kabir called these justifications “false,” emphasizing that the Algerian regime resorts to such repressive decisions to cover up its political and diplomatic failure.

This decision comes in light of the tensions in relations between the two countries, as many believe that Algeria is trying through this approach to exert additional pressure on Morocco, at a time when the latter continues to obtain diplomatic successes in the Moroccan Sahara issue, which exacerbated the crisis between the two countries.
