Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez helped Liverpool win against Bournemouth on Saturday. If the Uruguayan international has found the net again, Virgil Van Dijk tempers the enthusiasm.

Liverpool won brilliantly against Bournemouth (3-0) last Saturday in the Premier League. Luis Diaz led the way with a brace, followed by a superb finish from Darwin Nunez, who curled in a left-footed shot to seal the score.

For the first time this season in the league, the Uruguayan striker, often singled out for his lack of realism, was lined up from the start. And he honored his tenure in the most beautiful way, by scoring a goal brilliant.

“It’s time for him to get his act together.”

However, Reds captain Virgil Van Dijk’s watchword remains caution. In comments relayed on Monday by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Dutch defender insisted on the importance for Nunez to remain focused on the challenges ahead, and to take advantage of the next opportunities to increase his goal tally.

“Consistency is key. “He shouldn’t get carried away, but he won’t and it’s time for him to pull himself together and focus on the next opportunity that presents itself,” explained VVD, before adding: “That’s football. We will help him and the coach will help him, the club and the supporters too.”
