Girondins de Bordeaux. Seven months after emerging from a coma, Alberth Elis is getting closer to recovery

Good news for Alberth Elis. The former Girondins de striker announced on his social networks that he was much better. He suffered a big shock against Guingamp on February 24, 2024, which caused him a head trauma. He was placed in a protective artificial coma with an uncertain vital and functional prognosis for four days.

Once out of the coma, he then joined a private clinic in the Bordeaux region, before returning home to Honduras. Since then, he has regained his strength and is training with the FC Panteras club, a club that he created and which he owns. “I want to share with you some great news: thanks to God, my medical tests came back positive and I can therefore return to professional competition” announced the attacker in a press release, shared on his social networks

His goal is now to find a new sporting project. Although the important thing is his health above all and his state of form, he would like to resume in January 2025. “I thank all the clubs that have shown interest in me, but I have made the decision to continue training with Panteras FC before returning to professional football in January. I am very grateful for the chance to get healthy and I will continue to work hard to be 100% ready for my return. I would also like to thank from the bottom of my heart everyone who supported me during this time. Your encouragement and words have been a great motivation and I will be back on the field soon, God willing”concludes the 28-year-old.
