“It’s simply because I love football.” Questioned by RMC Sport, Andy Carroll clearly revealed his intentions. If he arrived in Gironde to everyone’s surprise, it is not for the money, but to help “a great French club” to emerge from the crisis.

Two important goals which allowed his team to snatch a draw against Châteaubriant (2-2). “I loved scoring these two goals, particularly for the fans present, it was a great feeling” confides the great left-handed.
The arrival of the player with 9 caps with the Three Lions, who was still playing in Ligue 2 last year, becomes a reason for hope for supporters. And that’s good, Andy Carroll also has ambitions. “I hope we will rise again in the next two years,” he asks.
