To stay in the race of major international cycling events, the organization of the 4 Days of Dunkirk has created a new race, the Classique Dunkerque-Grand Prix des Hauts-de-France. It will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, on the eve of the start of the 4 Days.
This pre-race should allow teams to present renowned riders by offering more points in the general classification.

“The organizers of the 4 days of Dunkirk had realized that teams had deserted the Hauts de France cycling event in favor of a single day of racing, such as in Antwerp. Why? Because this race brought more points to the teams.
This is why in 2025, the 4 days of Dunkirk are launching a new race, the Classique Dunkerque-Grand Prix des Hauts de France. It will take place on Tuesday, May 13, the day before the start of the stage race. An edition of the 4 days that will now only be 5 instead of 6!
Objective: to attract international teams, famous riders for at least one day with the bet that they might stay for the rest of the week.
Yes, but will there be two departures in Dunkirk? Well no, because if the Classique Dunkerque will start from the Cité Jean Bart, for the first time the 69th edition of the 4 days will start from another city. But it will still be the cycling festival in the Hauts de France for 6 days with an arrival in the Cité Jean Bart on Sunday May 18, 2025.
The details of the routes will be known by December.
