The captain of the French XV is spending a few days in the United States, in Los Angeles, to finish his vacation. On the agenda, in particular, the visit to the American football club of the Chargers where he should train. The French rugby star will also attend a huge clash of the NFL franchise, Sunday, against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Antoine Dupont is definitely multiplying his experiences. On leave since his Olympic gold medal with the French 7s team, the captain of Stade Toulousain and Les Bleus is expected to soon return to training with Toulouse and the Top 14. But first, he treats himself to one last getaway: after collecting his two awards on Monday evening at the Nuit du Rugby (best Top 14 player and best international 7s and 15s), he took a flight to Los Angeles on Wednesday.

On the program, a big week on site in a mix of vacations and activities: after crossing paths with basketball player Lebron James, he should train with the American football franchise Los Angeles Chargers this weekend. And the cherry on the cake, he will attend Sunday, behind the scenes, the huge NFL clash between the Californians and the two-time Super Bowl title holders, the Kansas City Chiefs. A match whose kickoff will be given at 1:25 p.m. (local time) at the Sofi Stadium, in front of more than 70,000 people.
At the same time, his teammates from Stade Toulousain will begin the final stretch of their Top 14 match against UBB, for the 4th day of Top 14. Antoine Dupont intends to take advantage and multiply the experiences (with the idea of one day committing to the NFL?) in “LA”, before returning to the daily life of French rugby.
His return to France will be at the end of next week. It is therefore possible that he will resume collective training around Monday, October 7.
