Death of Alain Delon: we finally know who will keep his dog Loubo, and he will stay in the family!

But if Alain Delon loved dogs, he also loved cats. According to his former bodyguard Daniel Broussin, the cinema legend was buried with Poupoussher beloved three-legged cat. But since the little ball of fur passed away several years ago, she was kept… at freezer !

This Sunday, September 22, the man who was Alain Delon’s driver and bodyguard for 24 years shared some anecdotes about the actor in the columns of Parisian. Daniel Broussin said he attended the actor’s funeral on August 24 in Douchy. He was thus able to confirm that his last wishes have been well respected. “In particular, that Poupouss, the three-legged cat that the actor had frozen after his death, be placed with him in his coffin.”he confided.

Poupouss was a cat that Alain Delon had taken in several years ago. After the poor animal was hit by a car, the actor saved him from being euthanized. With his leg almost torn off, Alain Delon had him transported by helicopter to his Parisian veterinarian, who had to amputate Poupouss to save him. Later, when the cat died, the actor could not bring himself to bury him. He wanted to keep him and so decided to freeze to be, subsequently, buried with him.

Alain Delon’s funeral: his dog Loubo attended the ceremony

Poupouss, simply placed in the freezer, had then caused a few scares. As the son of the actor Alain-Fabien recounts in his book “De la race des seigneurs”, he once came face to face with the cat while looking for… a bottle of alcohol.

A strange practice, but one that nevertheless shows to what extent Alain Delon loved his animals.
