FC Annecy beats Troyes and consolidates its place at the foot of the Ligue 2 podium

It was a match against a team in difficulty, but the work had to be done. And they did it. On Tuesday, September 24, for the sixth day of the Ligue 2 championship, FC Annecy hosted ESTAC de Troyes au stade of the Alpes.

Having gotten off to a very bad start in the championship, the Aube players had to pull themselves together against the Savoyards, who were in the top third of the competition.

Four games without defeat

For FCA, the very good start to the season continues. After a victory on the first day, a defeat on the second, the men of Laurent Guyot have gone four games without a defeat (two wins and two losses).

They therefore find themselves today in fourth place, just off the podium in Ligue 2 with 11 points. If the championship is very tight (10th is only two points behind), the Savoyards are only a tiny length away from being at the top of the championship.

To hope to play for promotion, it will be necessary to capitalize on the next matches: a trip to Bastia (currently 6th), the reception of the Red Star (14th) and a trip to Lorient (9e).
