SM dominates thanks to Mendy and records a second success in a row

SM is doing better. After their success against on Friday (1-0), the Caennais followed up against on Tuesday, September 24 (2-1). A success that they owe in large part to Alexandre Mendy, who scored twice.

In the game, Caen convinced. The doubts of the beginning of the season finally seemed to be banished and it was a more liberated team that presented itself at d’Ornano, in front of a public that gave voice from start to finish.

Mendy again and again

Perfectly served by Bilal Brahimi, Alexandre Mendy quickly put Caen ahead, thanks to a shot deflected by Mamadou Fofana (1-0, 13′). Caen then relaxed a little and Mafouta, like a fox, took advantage of a missed shot from Boya to surprise Mandrea at the far post (1-1, 26′).

Dominant in the second period, Caen pushed but could not find the fault. Brahimi hit the crossbar with his head, while Mendy’s header went just over.

It was finally on an overflow from Gomis that Caen regained the advantage, Mendy perfectly cutting off the low cross from his young teammate (2-1, 82′).
