‘Paranoid’ Diddy Won’t Eat in Prison for Fear of Poisoning

According to reports, Sean “Diddy” Combs, a “paranoid” man, is not eating in prison for fear of being poisoned.

NewsNation reports that Larry Levine, a former inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York – where Diddy is currently being held after being denied bail – claims to have a source with knowledge of the rap mogul’s situation inside since he was detained on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for the purpose of prostitution last week (September 16).

“Imagine if someone paid someone on the inside to poison his food, give him a heart attack and make him die, and no one would really think about it,” Levine said, saying that “could be one of the reasons he’s not eating.”

“He’s really, really paranoid. He’s really, really scared. He doesn’t know what to think, he doesn’t know who to trust or what to believe,” Levine said. NewsNation excerpt from the interview below.

The rapper and music mogul was arrested in Manhattan, New York, following a series of sexual misconduct allegations against him over the past year. He was later charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution, according to court documents released last Tuesday (September 17).

According to Daily MailDiddy is housed in the same unit as cryptocurrency scammer Sam Bankman-Fried, who was convicted of fraud in 2023 and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The indictment also revealed some of the items allegedly seized during searches of Combs’ home in March. The IndependentAuthorities recovered narcotics, three AR-15s with “defaced serial numbers,” ammunition and a drum magazine, as well as “over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant” and evidence consistent with the “bizarre incidents” alleged in the trial of former rapper Cassie Ventura.

According to PeopleThe tycoon has been placed under suicide watch. His lawyer Marc Agnifilo said TMZ that the suicide watch directive was issued by MDC officials as a routine measure for “high-profile new inmates.”

He added that he spent six hours with Combs at the detention center and shared that he was “not suicidal at all” but rather “strong, healthy, confident and focused on defending himself.”

According to the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Corrections, suicide watch refers to “monitoring precautions taken for suicidal inmates that require frequent observation.”

The MDC is known to be a dangerous and understaffed facility, with a high death and suicide rate. The center currently houses approximately 1,600 inmates, many of whom are awaiting trial.

Agnifilo recently asked the court to transfer Combs to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey. The case is currently under review.

In a statement to Rolling stone and other members of the press following Tuesday’s (Sept. 17) headline, Agnifilo announced his intention to appeal Diddy’s bail denial decision in court later today (Sept. 18): “Mr. Combs is a fighter. He’s going to fight to the end. He’s innocent. We’re going to fight this case with everything we’ve got.”

Combs’ accusations follow a wave of accusations and lawsuits against Combs, beginning in November 2023, when R&B singer and Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit against him for alleged physical and sexual abuse.

Diddy denied the allegations before the couple settled the lawsuit “to mutual satisfaction” a day after it was filed. Footage of Combs’ attack on Cassie — full name Cassandra Ventura — was released later in May, and Diddy apologized for his actions at the time.

A week after Ventura filed his complaint last November, two new accusations were filed against Diddy. One woman claimed Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her, and the other claimed Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall alternately raped the complainant and her friend in 1990 or 1991 — adding that Diddy became violent a few days later. Diddy has denied all of the allegations against him online, but Hall has not responded to the accusations.

Yesterday (September 24), Diddy’s former protégé Shyne also claimed the rapper “destroyed” his life, stating that Diddy is “someone who basically testified against me when I was on trial, when I was an 18-year-old kid who wanted to do nothing but make my mother proud.”
