Child-height public benches coming soon to Paris!

“A symbol of novelty”

The Davioud benches, named after their manufacturer, have been an integral part of Parisian history and heritage since their first installations in the 1960s. Made in Île-de- in Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de-), these new “miniature” versions adapted for children will respect the same design as their big brothers, but adapting to the progressive evolution of the city which wishes to promote the hospitality of spaces for all.

“We need street furniture that is suitable for children”

What will these new benches look like? Designed mainly to adapt the details, they will be smaller with more rounded edges and less space between the wooden slats.

The first prototypes will be installed this weekend on rue de Louvois (II), rue de la Présentation (XIe) and rue Saint-Maur (XI) and the first official installations will take place in the pedestrian streets around the schools in the summer of 2025.
