A Quebec woman traveling in Mexico discovered that she was dead according to Desjardins. A vacation that turned into a nightmare…

Marie-Josée Leroux flew to Mexico last January for nine weeks. The woman who had not taken a vacation for a very long time had everything planned except a monumental error by Desjardins that came to ruin her stay.

On February 9, while she was on vacation, she realized that she could not consult her portal. Access D. “I wanted to go to my Access Dto see if all the accounts were going through, if everything was correct. And my Access D “It wouldn’t open. It wouldn’t work. I tried to log back in, nothing happened,” she said.

She decided to ask one of her daughters to clarify the situation. “She called the Caisse and she called me back a little laughing, then being shocked, saying to me: ‘you don’t know what? You died!’ What is that? I died? “, explained Marie-Josée Leroux.

Radio-Canada reports that a death notice was registered on Marie-Josée Leroux’s file. This resulted in her accounts and bank cards being frozen. “I was very angry, thinking: come on! How is it possible that a big institution like Desjardins could do this so easily!” she recalled.

After going through hell, she finally discovered the truth. Desjardins made a mistake and confused her with another Marie-Josée Leroux who lost her life in November 2023. “How can Desjardins be so involved in files? It’s beyond me, it’s even worse than I thought,” she laments.
