Henry Guimbard, 86, died following a cycling accident on the roads of Savoie this Sunday. A former cyclist, this adopted Voironnais has, in thirty years of racing, won 180 trophies.
He began competing in 1956. Pre-selected for the amateur world championships, he finished as the best rider in the Dauphiné Savoie in 1959. In 1963, he took part in the Tour de France des amateurs.
