At the Claude-Nougaro comprehensive high school in Caussade-Monteils, nearly one hundred and thirty students studying science and technology in management and administration (STMG) had the opportunity last Tuesday to experience an integration day rooted in their region.
Organized in the premises of several local companies, this day was part of an educational approach aimed at strengthening cohesion between students, but also at creating a bridge with their future professional environment. During this morning, the students met twenty-one professionals from various sectors of activity, corresponding to their training programs.
Connecting with future recruiters
These meetings allowed students to ask relevant questions about how these organizations work, to better understand the expectations of the professional world and to refine their career prospects. These fruitful exchanges also fostered a rapprochement with their potential future recruiters.
“Beyond the educational aspect, this day helped to strengthen cohesion within the different classes. To conclude this experience, each group was invited to carry out an exercise: an oral presentation to share their experience with their classmates. This restitution work helped to highlight the importance of communication and teamwork, essential skills in their future professional life” indicated the school’s principal Sabine Bergougnoux.
This integration day will undoubtedly remain a highlight for the one hundred and thirty students who participated. Not only were they able to glimpse the realities of their future profession in a concrete way, but they also strengthened their ties with their classmates while developing essential professional skills. “An experience to be repeated, according to the enthusiastic feedback from students and speakers” concluded the principal.
