Elias Manoel scored in the seventh minute of late stoppage time on Saturday, Dante Vanzeir added a goal for the New York Red Bulls in a 2-2 draw with Atlanta United.

The draw leaves Atlanta outside the playoff picture in the East while CF Montreal climbs to ninth place thanks to its victory over Chicago with 34 points. On Sunday, Philadelphia faces DC United and the final score could change the current standings.

Manoel, who replaced Vanzeir in the 76th minute, scored a one-touch shot from a passing Julian Hall to tie the game. Earlier in the game, the 22-year-old Manoel had a penalty shot saved by goalkeeper Brad Guzan in the 88th minute.

Dante Vanzeir opened the scoring by redirecting a pass from John Tolkin into the net to give the Red Bulls a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute.

Alexey Miranchuk replied in first-half stoppage time to tie the game 1-1 at halftime. Miranchuk, Atlanta’s designated player who was signed in the summer transfer window, has two goals in five games.

New York (10-6-14), which had 60 percent possession, outshot Atlanta 22-10 and is winless in its last five games after an eight-game unbeaten streak.
