The Créa’Gâtine association of Thénezay organized a day of associations on Saturday, September 14, this event replaced the one planned for June 7 which had to be canceled due to the weather. About fifteen associations responded to the invitation and 84 pétanque players took part in the competition that was organized. In the evening, about a hundred people participated in the meal, the profits of which will be used to finance the Tout schuss project of the ski trip for children at the leisure center.
After the meeting on June 25 for a seniors’ committee, things are gradually falling into place. The group that wanted to organize festive afternoons or evenings is setting up a board game afternoon on October 6. Some people would like to have an introduction to English. Someone has offered to lead an introduction/basics refresher workshop, one hour per week, starting at the beginning of November, either on Wednesdays or Thursdays during the day with a preference for the morning. La Cabane à Partage, located in the community hall in La Ferrière-en-Parthenay, is offering a new activity. A volunteer, Christian Hedin, runs a gardening workshop one Saturday a month. The next one is scheduled for Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will have cuttings as its theme.
