Amazon halves the price of the first Google Pixel Watch, in its LTE version for more connectivity

Far from being unanimous, the Google Pixel Watch remains a pretty connected watch to put on your wrist, fluid with GPS and a precise electrocardiogram. If you are interested, its 4G version goes from 429 euros at launch to 209 euros today on Amazon.

Following our test of the Google Pixel Watch, we were already expecting the second version, but this saw its launch price increased by 20 euros. However, not everyone has the means to put this budget into a connected watch. This is why it remains interesting to turn to the first model, which has since seen its price drop, like the 4G version which costs 50% less today.

The advantages of the Google Pixel Watch

  • A cute format with a bright screen
  • Very good GPS and electrocardiogram monitoring
  • Compatible applications

Starting at 429 euros, the Google Pixel Watch (Bluetooth+Wi-Fi+4G) is currently on sale for just 209 euros on Amazon.

Google Pixel Watch at the best price?

A minimalist, rounded format that gives it its charm

A small, round pebble, the Google Pixel Watch appears to be a simple pocket watch. Apart from its wide borders, the screen is of good quality: its resolution is sufficient, its brightness allows it to be read in all circumstances, even in direct sunlight and the contrast of the Oled panel allows the borders to be hidden when the background is black.

It also has a brightness sensor which allows the brightness to be automatically adjusted according to the ambient lighting, in addition to the three-level manual adjustment offered natively by the watch. There is also an Always-On mode.

A fluid and precise watch, but with some limitations

The watch is powered by an Exynos 9110 chip, the same as that of the first Galaxy Watch in 2018. A dated chip, but which nevertheless manages to deliver a fluid experience under WearOS, whether you navigate through the menus or loads an application. It is also equipped with numerous sensors to measure your data related to your or your sports training.

During our test, we found that Spo2 is not accessible and heart rate monitoring was less reliable at high heart rates. The watch makes up for it by offering accurate GPS tracking, an effective EKG, and works with 41 different sports. Let’s end with the biggest weak point of this connected watch: its autonomy. With 24 hours of battery life announced, you should expect to recharge it daily. To avoid losing a lot of energy, you can, for example, put it in airplane mode during the night.
