Before starting a last week of September with two more days, some clubs of Ligue 2 made sure to score plenty of goals this Friday 20/09 during J5! Starting with Grenoble who, taking advantage of their numerical superiority, scored four goals against Martigues in the second half. Rodez, Laval and Dunkerque also did well while Paris FC fell for the second time this season on the pitch of an unsinkable Bastia!

On its pitch, which enjoyed success in the Champions League yesterday, the leader Guingamp was surprised at the start by a FC Annecy in form! While Gomis clears a little too low, Djoco involuntarily blocks the ball with his back and allows a lightning counter for his team, concluded at close range by Demoncy who had made the best call. But on yet another very well-measured cross (even if slightly deflected) from Sissoko, Kalidou Sidibé will manage to equalize for the team which is still the best attack in the championship in the 22nd minute. The Haut-Savoyards are very strong away from home and prove it with a goal from Axel Drouhin around the hour mark. On the other hand, it would not be an En Avant match without a masterful goal from Hémia, in the right place on a corner to volley a ball that will end up in the back of the net guarded by Escales! Final score: 2-2 and very beautiful emotions experienced.
Opposed to Amiens This Friday, the Clermont Foot continued its bad momentum and conceded very early, in the 7th minute! Two promising players, Rayan Lutin and Nordine Kandil, combined for a cross and a goal that allowed Picard to take the lead against the relegated Ligue 1 team. It was then a mistake by the same Lutin that led to a penalty for Clermont Foot but Henri Saivet sent the ball into the stands, to everyone’s surprise. He would blame himself since his team would return empty-handed to Auvergne (1-0).
In the shock of this evening at Bastiait is the Paris FC who took the lead thanks to a lightning transition made possible by an opening from Kebbal. Krasso goes on the edge of offside and drops a perfect cross for Camara who scores against Placide at close range! But the Corsicans have more than one trick up their sleeve and find the resources to get back into the game thanks to a very nice goal from Amine Boutrah in the area. His partner in attack Lamine Cissé will then offer himself his first goal with the Turchini by taking advantage of a bad clearance from Nkambadio, right at his feet! Dylan Tavares will have to return to the locker room prematurely because of a red card for a sole pressed on Kebbal’s foot and Sporting then thinks of playing an entire half with an inferiority. A general fight and a half later, Benoît Tavenot’s men (sent off) remobilize and still manage to hold on until Kraso’s expulsion which resets the counters to zero! The locals were closer to increasing their lead than to suffering an equalizer but remained clumsy, the score would not change (2-1) and Bastia will win a fantastic victory which will allow it to climb, at least temporarily, to the top step of the rankings!
At Bauer, it was the brilliant Malik Sellouki who, with a small individual feat, allowed his team to take the lead at the Red Star while Laval seemed to be undergoing events in the first quarter of an hour! With the tip of his foot, taking advantage of a good header from his teammate, he doubled his own score against a strangely hesitant Audonian defense. And as if his evening was not already beautiful enough, he came to present himself with full composure in front of Beunardeau to score the goal of his hat-trick in the 69th. Almost without forcing (0-3) !
After touching the visitors’ bar, the SM Caen had to arm himself with patience against a Ajaccio who had probably come to d’Ornano to draw. The work of Bilal Brahimi, who cleaned the skylight of Sollacaro in the last quarter of an hour after interminable minutes of Norman domination, made all the Malherbe people crazy with joy. Ajaccio should probably have obtained a penalty but did not necessarily deserve much from this trip compared to its production (1-0).
Troyes needs point, Rodez also and the Blood and Gold showed good intentions at the Stade de l’Aube with in particular a post hit quite early in the evening. It was finally a perfect volley from the flat of the foot of Cadiou which lodged in the back of the net, after a clearance too unconvincing by the locals! ESTAC would sink further when Taïbi lit up the pitch with his talent by offering an assist for Nkada, who scored his first goal with the RAF. The same goes for Dany Jean, who once again crucified Stéphane Dumont’s team who really deserved nothing from this match (0-3).
On the northern side, Naatan Skyttä made the Marcel-Tribut stadium in Dunkirk with his first goal in as many starts, against Pau FC! But because of a bad pass from Jaouen and a missed clearance from Sanganté, Ruiz recovered the ball very high up the field and provided an assist to Bobichon, who scored from mid-distance with a very well-controlled move. An equalizer that would not last long since Yacine Bammou put his team back in the lead by being well placed on an indirect maritime free kick. Dunkirk’s advantage would be increased by Vincent Sasso, the defender turning into a scorer in the second half with a header thanks to the inevitable Bardeli’s pass. It only took one chance and Diawara’s opportunism to allow Pau to reduce the gap, but not to get back into the game for good since a slight foul would cancel out a goal that would have meant sharing the points (3-2). This is the first setback suffered by the Béarn club this season.
At the end of a first half without much movement on either side, FC Martigues will make the task complicated at the Vélodrome against Grenoble because of a dangerous move by Solvet on Théo Valls. Alan Kérouédan’s chip over Jérémy Aymes will make the difference after the break and Lenny Joseph, thanks to another classy move by Théo Valls and an assist from Meïssa Ba, will manage to seal the Isère victory. The visitors will take an even bigger lead on a bad exit from the Martigues goalkeeper and a good move from Mbemba, lucid, then on a well-placed header from Meïssa Ba, five times scorer in five days (0-4). A very good evening for the GF, but for Martigues everything is complicated after this third consecutive defeat.
