Bastia, winner of Paris FC (2-1), took the lead in Ligue 2 ahead of Guingamp, held by Annecy, on Friday during the 5th day, marked by the first success of SM Caen, owned by Kylian Mbappé since the summer.
Sporting, with three wins in five matches, remain unbeaten in the championship and now have 11 points, one better than Guingamp, while waiting for the last match which will pit two former elite players, Metz (8 pts) and Lorient (4) against each other on Saturday afternoon in Moselle.
Paris FC drops to 5th place
Bastia, caught cold by the visitors on a goal from Camara (10th), turned everything around first via Boutrah who found the small opposite net to equalize ten minutes later before Cissé with a clever lob gave his team the advantage by punishing a missed clearance by the Parisian goalkeeper (2-1, 35th). The two teams finished the match with 10 men after the exclusions of Bastia’s Tavares and Parisian Krasso.
Guingamp, led twice at Roudourou by Annecy, avoided defeat thanks to a late goal from Hemia (80th), his fourth of the season.
Laval and Grenoble as bosses
In its Bauer stadium, the promoted Red Star, despite a diligent start, conceded a heavy 3-0 defeat against Laval, the 2nd in a row. The Laval players made the difference thanks to a hat-trick from Sellouki, including a sublime goal where he slalomed through an overly permissive Audonian defense. With this success, the Tangos climbed to 13th place (5 pts) just behind their victim of the evening (6 pts).
Grenoble, led by four different scorers in a quarter of an hour (Kerouedan 55th, Joseph 60th, Mbemba 66th and Meïssa Ba 70th), took advantage of Martégaux’s numerical inferiority to secure a comfortable victory (4-0) and temporarily secure the podium with 10 points.
