Heavy Prim’Holstein P+/O– cows are sold at around €4.40/kg carcass. Norman or Montbéliard O=/O+ cows are traded at €4.70 and €4.75/kg carcass (kgc).

Sorting is more severe in mid-range animals. P dairy cows are sold between €4.20 and €4.35/kgc depending on weight. Prices for P– cows are between €3.10 and €3.40/kgc.

In beef breeds, the level of demand is down, but it is in line with the market supply. Prices are stable.

Charolais R+/U– beef cows are valued at around €5.50-5.55/kgc. R= subjects are sold between €4.40 and €4.45/kgc on the markets of , Châteaubriant, Bourg-en-Bresse and Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais.

Prices for lighter cows are slightly decreasing between €5.20 and €5.30/kgc. Prices for O suckler cows are decreasing, and are fluctuating between €4.80 and €5.10/kgc.

Limousin prices remain well oriented. U subjects are traded between €5.90 and €6.10/kgc, or even €6.20 for the very good ones. Prices are maintained between €6.50 and €7.00/kgc for the good Parthenaises. Blondes d’Aquitaine U are negotiated between €6.20 and €6.50/kgc in Cholet.
