Thanks to goals from Magnetti and Sima, the Breton club won this Thursday against its Austrian counterpart (2-1).
Brest did it! With an opening that was not insurmountable against Sturm Graz, the Breton club secured victory in its first Champions League match in history.
A victory that took shape in the 23rd minute with the opening goal by Brest midfielder Hugo Magnetti. On a ball poorly cleared by the Austrian defense, he sent a superb strike from the edge of the area that left the opposing goalkeeper helpless (1-0).
Behind, if Sturm Graz came back to level just before the break with an unfortunate own goal from Edimilson Fernandes, in the second half, it was Abdallah Sima who snatched victory with a fine attacking goal, with a volley while turning quickly in the area (2-1, 56th).
