“2024 Road World Championships”
After a summer full of exploits and emotion, sport continues on France Télévisions with channel 91e edition of the World Road Cycling Championship. The best French and international riders will meet in Zurich (Switzerland) to try to win the legendary rainbow jersey in the time trial and road race. Follow it live from September 22 to 29 on France 3 and france.tv.

For this new edition, the big favorites – the French Julian Alaphilippethe Belgian Remco Evenpoel and Slovenian Tadej Pogacar –, who are in great shape, will try to impose themselves and succeed another climber-puncher, the Dutchman Mathieu Van der Poelalso present in Zurich.
On the women’s side, all eyes will be on the defending champion, the Belgian Lotte Kopeckywho is also in undeniable form after her recent home victory at the European Road Cycling Championships (time trial). She will have to face a serious contender, a recent Olympic gold medallist in mountain biking, the surprise headliner of the French selection, Pauline Ferrand-PrévotThe Reims native, who already won in 2014, devoted herself exclusively to mountain biking from 2019. For this 2024 World Championship, the woman nicknamed PFP intends to ensure a glorious “comeback” in this road discipline, with a view to participating in the next women’s Tour de France in 2025.
