AS returns to the elite after a golden set against
Descriptive text here

Untouchable since the start of the final stages, and winner in the first leg of the final (3-1), AS was beaten at home by this Sunday in the return (1-3), a feat that the club Corsica failed to confirm during the gold set. By winning this one down to the wire (15-12), the Dragons shattered the Ajaccians’ dream and returned to the elite of the French Championship, after two years spent in the second division.

The people of Cannes were very scared this Sunday at home since they saw their opponents fly through the first two sets of the final return and win in four sets (25-22, 25-14, 22-25, 25,-22 ). The two clubs therefore needed a golden set to decide which one would move up to the Spikeligue next season, a last unbreathable round where the favorites ended up having the last word (15-12) in front of their audience at the Palais des Victoires.

Champions of in 2021

This comeback embodies the efforts of the former boss of the Australian Volleyball Federation, Craig Carracer, who has invested massively in the Cannes club in recent months, and at the same time brought together the two clubs on the Croisette, the women’s RC Cannes and the men’s AS Cannes, with the aim of quickly bringing the second to the top. Crowned champion of France in 2021 and relegated to B the following year, the club will return to the elite next season.
