Dominique Pelicot, the main accused in the Mazan rape case, is back in court after a week of absence for health reasons. Accused of drugging and raping his wife, as well as having her raped by dozens of men, Dominique Pelicot, 71, entered accompanied by a cane, and appeared on an adapted chair. The man admitted “the facts in their entirety”.
He said: “ I am guilty of what I have done. I pray to my wife, my children, my grandchildren[…] to please accept my apologies. I ask for forgiveness, even if it is not acceptable.” The accused added: “She was wonderful and I was way off base […] I loved her for 40 years and loved her badly for 10 years. I should never have done that. I ruined everything, I lost everything. I have to pay.” »
