Heading into the 2024–25 season, Russell Westbrook holds the most career triple-doubles in NBA history with 199. Westbrook has held the league record since May 10, 2021, when he recorded his 182nd triple-double, surpassing Oscar Robertson’s mark of 181, which had stood since 1974.

Besides Westbrook and Robertson, only four other NBA players have topped 100 career regular-season triple-doubles: Magic Johnson, Nikola Jokic, LeBron James and Jason Kidd.

Heading into the 2024-25 season, the 12 all-time triple-double leaders include five Hall of Famers and seven active NBA stars.

Westbrook also holds the NBA record for most triple-doubles in a season, with 42 in 2016–17, and most consecutive games with a triple-double, with 11 in a row from January 22 to February 14, 2019.

In the playoffs, no one has more triple-doubles than Magic, who has 30. He is joined by James and Jokic as the only players to have recorded 15-plus triple-doubles in the postseason.

Aside from Magic, LeBron and Jokic, only six other players have had 10 or more triple-doubles in the playoffs.
