A thriller set against a backdrop of Breton legends… The event series from TF1, “Broceliande” starts this Monday evening (September 16) with Marie-Anne Chazel and especially the Breton Nolwenn Leroy, who plays the main character, Fanny Legoff, a biologist who returns to her native village after being accused, 15 years earlier, of the disappearance of her best friend. But her return coincides with a new disappearance.

“It was both a wonderful gift and a big responsibility.”

Prime suspect, she therefore decides to investigate. That's what I liked, the fact of embodying a character who thirsts for truth and who leads his investigation thanks to his skills as a biologist and scientist without being a cop. I found it interesting and a little different from what we were used to seeing and it appealed to me.

To prepare for the role, Nolwenn Leroy “back to theater. I had taken classes when I was younger, and I already had experience because I had played in “Capitaine Marleau” alongside Corinne Masiero. It had especially given me a taste for this profession of actor and I prepared well for this role, because I had Marie-Anne Chazel, and opposite great actors who were very generous… and alongside whom I learned a lot.. It was both a wonderful gift and a big responsibility.”

“Waking up in this forest that rocked my childhood was a wonderful gift!”

For Nolwenn Leroy, this proposal came at the right time, and she couldn't say no to a series filmed at her home. “It was the right timing to dedicate myself to a project like this. I had the time to prepare myself as best I could, to invest myself in all this preparation and to abandon myself to this character (…) I was immediately seduced by this project and the casting… Everyone hides a secret, all this in this magnificent setting that is the forest of Brocéliande… That's also what made up my mind: I can't lie, the fact that it's being filmed in , the idea of spending three intensive months filming, and waking up every morning in this forest that rocked my childhood, it was a wonderful gift.”

Made in the famous Paimpont forest by Bruno Garcia (known for Captain Marleau), the series “Broceliande” consists of six 52-minute episodes, the first two of which will be broadcast this Monday evening.
