Last year, research was at the heart of concerns. This year, the focus is on the practical, everyday aspects of living with the disease. “We don’t die of Parkinson’s, but gradually we can be confronted with increasing challenges, particularly in terms of mobility”explains the secretary of the committee, who pleads for a strengthening of medical infrastructure and support networks in Indre, in order to guarantee better care for patients.

After the opening introduction by President François-Xavier Roy and the testimony of patients and professionals, it is Anne Forichon, speech therapist in Châteauroux, who will take the floor to address the crucial importance of vocal rehabilitation in patients around 10 h 30. Anne-Lise Aussour, dietician, will then take over to explore the link between diet and Parkinson’s. The morning of entertainment will conclude with the intervention of occupational therapist Anne-Lise Perrot and the committee’s gymnastics facilitator Marie-Clémence Chevalier.
