A teacher at Antioch High School has announced that he wants to file a complaint after being tear gassed by one of his students who wanted to recover the mobile phone he had confiscated from him.
This Friday, May 5, Caleb Bates, an English teacher at a high school in Antioch (Tennessee) asked his students to put their phones away during his class. While one of them refuses to comply with the rule, the professor decides to confiscate her smartphone. The man did not expect the access of fury of the teenager who physically attacked him.

“She just sprayed me with gas”
Exasperated by this deprivation, she sprayed tear gas on his teaching three times to try to force him to return his electronic device. “It got into my mouth, my nose, everywhere. I was coughing, it’s a very unpleasant experience,” Caleb Bates told local television.
The scene, which was filmed, sparked outrage on social media. In the footage, the woman is seen following the teacher down the hall where she orders him to give her phone back – “Give me my phone!” -, before spraying him with pepper spray. On the ground, the man shouts: “She just sprayed me with tear gas, she just sprayed me with gas.”
This isn’t the first time Caleb Bates has been mugged like this; A few months ago, he was beaten by another student after having confiscated his laptop…
