Crafty fun: The 4S Ranch Library will offer free Valentine’s Day-themed craft activities for teens and adults from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 during its “Crafternoon” event. Bedding needed: Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a drive-thru blankets and sleeping bag collection from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 in its upper parking lot, 17010 Pomerado Road. Needed are new and gently-used clean blankets (not king size) and sleeping bags for those that have housing but cannot afford the heating bills, and those not able to obtain a bed at a winter shelter. Donations will be given to the Alpha Project, Interfaith Community Services, New Day Urban Ministries and San Diego Rescue Mission.

Health fair: The Poway Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Health & Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Mickey Cafagna Community Center – Oak Hall, 13094 Civic Center Drive in Poway. Meet local health and wellness providers, learn helpful tips and resources to optimize health, find sports and activities to join, and compete for prizes. Floral art: Kat Furrow will present a workshop on how to make abstract floral art from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.
