a capacity of 2,000 people at Place Rapp, upon registration

In a press release sent this Thursday evening, the town hall indicates that, for security reasons, people who wish to attend the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Colmar on Sunday February 2, will have to register via the dedicated website.

An invitation with a QR code will be sent to those who are registered. Only this invitation will allow access to the place Rapp adds the press release. The mayor of Colmar, Eric Straumann, specifies that the gauge, Place Rapp, will be 2,000 places. “On the other hand, people will be able to position themselves on Avenue de la République without registration,” underlines the mayor. Giant screens will broadcast the ceremony.

This constrained system is largely linked to the presence of the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, who will preside over this commemorative morning. It will begin at 11 a.m. and will be preceded by a mass at the Saint-Martin collegiate church at 9:30 a.m.
