Tracker: Swiatek and Keys battling to join Sabalenka in Australian Open final

The Australian Open has most definitely arrived at its business end with the semi-finals now set on both sides. Today, the last four women play for a place in Saturday’s final.

11:26 CET – One spot in the Australian Open final remains up for grabs and we’re about to find out who will take it, with Iga Swiatek (23) and Madison Keys (29) taking to the court.

Swiatek may be the favourite, but Keys did prevail the last time the two faced off on a hard court and has looked good in the first few weeks of 2025, so this could be a close one.

11:16 CET – Aryna Sabalenka (26) is back into the Australian Open final! The reigning champion stepped up her game in the second set to beat Paula Badosa (27) 6-4, 6-2.

10:39 CET – Top seed and double defending champion Aryna Sabalenka (26) is one set away from the Australian Open final! She leads her bestie Paula Badosa (27) 6-4 despite struggling to fully find her groove yet.

In the first of the two semis, top seed Aryna Sabalenka (26) will take on 11th seed, and close friend, Paula Badosa (27). Sabalenka will be the firm favourite having won their last six meetings but both players are in fine form.

In fact, both have had almost flawless tournaments thus far only dropping one set each. The match is due to start at 09:30 CET.

In the second semi-final, second seed Iga Swatek (23) will take on outsider Madison Keys (29).

Swiatek has barely broken a sweat in Melbourne and is yet to drop a set but the experienced Keys will be buoyed by her recent wins over the higher-ranked Elena Rybakina (25) and Danielle Collins (31).
