‘Club management Feyenoord held crisis consultation: Bosschaart temporarily for the group’

There are rumblings off the field at Feyenoord, despite the brilliant performances of the Rotterdam team in the Champions League. Trainer Brian Priske managed to beat Bayern Munich and thus secured the intermediate round. Crisis consultations have taken place behind the scenes in recent days, and more and more information is trickling out.

General manager Dennis te Kloese, chairman of the board Toon van Bodegom and recruitment & development manager Jelle Goes have spoken extensively about the future of the trainer after three disappointing results in the Eredivisie. “The curtain had fallen for the trainer,” it was stated firmly here and there, and in De Kuip there was off the record more confirmation than denial of that news,” it writes. Algemeen Dagblad.

Journalist Mikos Gouka also reports that the reason is that things are not going well in Feyenoord’s technical staff. “Priske and his assistants, the Dane Lukas Babalola and the Swede Björn Hamberg, would not click with, for example, club icon John de Wolf, also an assistant in De Kuip.” In addition, there is not a good connection with the players, although they have never lost confidence in Priske. In the meantime, those responsible within Feyenoord had been working on a successor for a long time.

The intention is for Pascal Bosschaart to temporarily stand in front of the group until the dream candidate is identified. Feyenoord must turn to Shakhtar Donetsk, because that is where Marino Pusic currently represents the group. The former assistant of the Rotterdam team must restore relations in the technical staff and hunt for second place with the current selection, which entitles them to Champions League football.
