“There is talk of a violent storm Éowyn, will our coastline be affected?” Farid answers your weather question

Hello Cathy, we will therefore have to monitor this meteorological bomb as we call it in more technical jargon. The low pressure system will deepen very quickly in phase with the jet stream and will cause a violent storm over the British Isles this Friday. The west coasts of Ireland and England could reach 140 to 160 km/h or even a little more on exposed capes.

Be careful, Belgium will remain largely on the sidelines with wind of course but not more than 55 to 75 km/h from the south between Friday mid-morning and late afternoon. Occasionally, 80 km/h can be reached on the coast and on the crests before dropping in the evening. On the other hand, it looks gloomy on Friday and Saturday morning before a lull throughout the afternoon and especially on Sunday under seasonal maximums. Enjoy your stay in the great outdoors!
