ATLANTA – Zoo Atlanta has announced it will remain closed on Jan. 22 due to weather conditions.

In addition to below-freezing temperatures, driving remains hazardous on many city streets. Officials continue to urge the general public to stay off the roads in metro Atlanta as much as possible on Wednesday morning.
While precipitation has moved out of the area, metro Atlanta residents woke up to temperatures in the teens or single digits Wednesday morning.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta meteorologist David Chandley, even though it will be sunny on Wednesday, temperatures will struggle to rise above freezing. Shaded areas will experience little to no melting, and icy roads will remain a concern.

Both locations of the Atlanta Botanical Garden (Midtown and Gainesville) will also be closed on Wednesday.
The Georgia Aquarium will be open on Wednesday but will delay its opening until 12 p.m. Guests with tickets for Monday or Tuesday who were unable to visit can use their tickets any day in 2025 without rescheduling.
-It appears that the World of Coca-Cola, located across from the Georgia Aquarium, will open at its normal time of 10 a.m. However, those wishing to visit are encouraged to call ahead before heading downtown.
The Children’s Museum of Atlanta, also located downtown, will remain closed today but plans to reopen as usual on Thursday.
And, the High Museum of Art on Peachtree Street NE and Atlanta History Center’s Buckhead and midtown (Margaret Mitchell House) campuses will be closed today. The history center is also canceling its Living Room Lecture with Jeffrey Young that was canceled for later today.
Additionally, the Center for Puppetry Arts will remain closed on Jan. 22. They are advising potential guests to keep an eye on their social media accounts or website for updates.
