Tracker: Shelton downs Sonego to seal semi spot, Sinner facing De Minaur

After a stunning day of quarter-final action which saw Novak Djokovic beat Carlos Alcaraz, the last semi-finalists are set to be revealed, with another high-quality day of at the Australian Open.

09:36 CET – Ben Shelton (22) has beaten Lorenzo Sonego (29) 6-4, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 to advance to the final four at the Australian Open!

The young American will face the winner of Jannik Sinner (23) and Alex De Minaur (25) for a shot at the decider.

05:20 CET – Iga Swiatek (23) defeats Emma Navarro (23) in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. The world number two has now won 10 straight sets as she advances to her seventh Grand Slam semi-finals, her second at the Australian Open. Swiatek now improves to 9-1 in 2025.

Both sides had one ace each while Navarro went 0/7 in return games and just 3/8 in service games. Meanwhile, Swiatek won all seven of her service games and 5/8 of her return games. The match lasted one hour and 29 minutes, making it another quick victory for Swiatek,

03:32 CET – Madison Keys (29) has just beat Elina Svitolina (30) 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to advance to her third Australian Open semi-final. The win now marks 10 straight for Keys, who is now 12-1 in 2025.

Despite having both more double faults (4-1) and unforced errors (41-15) than Svitolina, her 49 winners to the Ukrainian’s 20 proved to be vital in Keys’ win.
