‘We all live from results’ – Voetbal International

Vincent Kompany has looked ahead to the match against Feyenoord. The Bayern Munich coach will visit De Kuip on Wednesday evening. He was there for a while on Tuesday, before the press conference.

Kompany was also asked about the oppressive position in which Brian Priske finds himself. Feyenoord’s fellow coach is under great pressure due to disappointing results. As coach of Anderlecht, Kompany already met the Dane, who was then in charge of Antwerp FC. “That was my first year as a coach.”

“We were both already under a lot of pressure at that time,” Kompany remembers. Something Priske now also likes. ‘Our mutual meetings were great. He has an attacking approach, at least in Belgium. But in the end we all live by results, the fate of a trainer.’

Bayern has had a lot of injuries in recent months, but comes to Feyenoord almost at full strength. ‘The selection is slowly becoming complete. Josip Stanisic is still missing, but otherwise we have a very experienced team. This is a special away match. We want to win that and I expect the players to be at their best.’
