Before the release of season 2, this Netflix series with 803 million hours of viewing is already making a strong comeback in the top

Almost two years after its release on Netflix, the success of this series still continues. With Season 2 arriving this week, Season 1 is seeing renewed interest.

The arrival of season 2 of The Night Agent indeed seems to benefit season 1 which is currently in last place in the top 10 most viewed series of the moment on the streaming platform in France, far behind XO, Kittycurrently at the top of the ranking. Inspired by the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is an action thriller that follows Peter, an FBI agent relegated to the basement of the White House, where he is in charge of a phone that never rings. One night, however, the famous telephone rings and Peter finds himself plunged into a dangerous plot that he will try to unravel alongside Rose Larkin. The gripping series with 803 million hours of viewing attracted Netflix subscribers, becoming one of the most viewed series on the platform.

The Night Agent : what awaits us in season 2

Given the renewed interest in season 1, there is no doubt that season 2 of the series with Gabriel Basso, which arrives this Thursday, January 23, should be one of the great successes of the start of the year. The first images of this new season tell us that a leak has been noted within the CIA, which is why Peter returns to the United States to investigate on his own to discover who is behind this leak. Not knowing if the “Night Action” is involved, the FBI agent finds himself more alone than ever, “not being able to trust anyone”, as he confides. Many new characters enrich this new plot.

The Night Agent : a third season already ordered

Banking on a new success for this season 2, the series has already been renewed for a season 3. And this time the fans of The Night Agent will not have to wait as long as between season 1 and season 2 since Netflix has already commissioned a team of writers to work on the next episodes. The first scenes were filmed in Istanbul at the end of 2024 and New York should soon host the rest of the filming.
