Man Utd fans invited to sign book of condolence for Denis Law

Brian Kidd: “People have spoken so highly of Denis. As a person and obviously as a player, he was wonderful. And I know it’s a cliche, but he was wonderful. And what he did for me, how he helped me in my early days because I was lucky to get into the team. You know, it was only an injury to David Herd, who was a tremendous player for Manchester United. But Denis looked after me when I got in the team. And obviously Denis was having his problems with his knee at the time. But the challenges he put in, the demands he put on you, it was unbelievable. But the support and the encouragement he gave you on the other side of the coin. You know, he could look after himself on the pitch, Denis. So, Denis, if anybody was kicking me, Denis would be the one that would give him a reducer with Paddy Crerand. He was tough, you know. He was only slight, but he wouldn’t take a step back. So hard.”
