CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) — Tonight: Arctic air is here and the winds still a bit breezy. This will allow the wind chill values to get into the negatives. That is why we have a cold weather advisory in effect from 6PM tonight into Monday at 12PM. Bundle up!
Monday: We will start the day mostly sunny but increase clouds throughout the afternoon and evening. Expect to stay dry and very cold. Highs only reaching the low 20s.
-Monday Night: Temperatures will plunge again into the single digits. Winds could die down a bit more but this is still dangerous cold.
Make sure to have a faucet dripping in your home over the next few days to avoid burst pipes.
