Things were highly dramatic in the Stuttgart “crime scene”. Hardly any other ARD crime drama has recently provoked so many reactions.
The fourth “crime scene” of the still young year came from Stuttgart and attracted around 9.2 million viewers to tune in. That corresponds to almost a third of all people who watched television on Sunday evening.
ARD can’t just be satisfied with this good audience rating. The audience’s verdict is also overwhelmingly positive. t-online editor Steven Sowa writes in his film review: “The ‘Verblendung’ case impresses with its powerful narrative and political-social underpinnings. Relevance, pace, a strong ensemble and astonishing twists come together to form a ‘crime scene’ episode , which will be remembered for a long time.” Hundreds of t-online readers agree with this.
Silvia Dietze writes: “The tension couldn’t be surpassed and it was an excellent performance by the main actors.”
“This ‘crime scene’ was extremely exciting from the first to the last minute,” says Barbel Vetter. “There hasn’t been such a good entry from this series in a long time. Chapeau!”
Joachim Same says: “That was a very strong ‘crime scene’ that addresses current problems and impressively shows what fanaticism can achieve. Great!”
-“This crime thriller comes at exactly the right time,” says Martina Behn. “In today’s world, it is a reminder not to allow yourself to be blackmailed. The actress played the terrorist excellently and with great persuasiveness, great. It would be nice if something like this only happened in the film, but unfortunately it also happens in real life .”
Stefanie Hold was equally enthusiastic: “It was the highest quality, most gripping crime thriller in a long time. ‘Verblendung’ had what it took to be a cinema blockbuster. Anna Schimrigk alias Karin Urbanski gets a huge round of applause from me: she rocked the film and made everyone else look pale. It is It’s nice to see people having fun with the script and giving viewers an unbeatable good time.”
But not everyone was able to gain something from this extraordinary episode Andrea Hirsch: “I’m a big ‘Tatort’ fan, but that wasn’t for me. I switched because I found it terrible.”
“It wasn’t a ‘crime scene’, but rather a long-winded, unrealistic and unnecessarily brutal bore,” sums up Oskar Kühnel.
And also Dietmar Ortmanns didn’t like what they saw: “This ‘crime scene’ would have fit better on a theater stage because there was only one location. The outcome was also predictable because stories like this have often been shown in films.”
