The release of the first batch of Palestinian prisoners within the framework of the armistice agreement

The first batch of Palestinian prisoners was released from Israeli detention centers within the framework of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

The Palestinian Authority’s press office said on Sunday that a number of released prisoners arrived in East Jerusalem accompanied by their families.

It is expected that about 90 prisoners will be released today, Sunday, hours after Hamas released three Israeli women who were hostage in the Gaza Strip.

In the first phase of the agreement, 33 hostages will be exchanged for 1,904 Palestinian prisoners.
