Jamie O’Hara has blasted Tottenham as “embarrassing” after they ended up being defeated 3-2 by Everton in their Premier League clash on Sunday.
Spurs were on the backfoot from the very start of the game with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin coming out with a newfound fire in his belly.
Writing via his personal X account (19 January), ex-Tottenham ace O’Hara shared his thoughts on the performance of Spurs.
“I’m sorry this can’t continue regardless of injuries. This is absolutely embarrassing, all over the place defensively, shocking in midfield, this is one the worst performances I’ve seen in a long time,” he wrote.
“If we’re not careful we could get dragged into a relegation battle. Sacked??”
Ange Postecolgou is on borrowed time at Tottenham
Ever since the injuries started making their way into the Tottenham camp, fans have pondered where the future of Ange Postecoglou lies.
While they weren’t expected to dominate Everton due to their own run of poor form, the fact they were 3-0 down at the 45-minute mark shows how backwards Spurs have gone over the last season or so.
-Of course, the amount of defensive injuries they’ve had needs to be taken into account but that shouldn’t stop the likes of Son Heung-min and James Maddison from providing the goals up top.
While Dominic Solanke may be sidelined due to injury, that shouldn’t stop Spurs from being able to battle a relegation-threatened side.
If Postecoglou manages to survive this pummelling and keep his job, questions will have to be asked about where Daniel Levy’s head is at and whether he has the best interests of the club at his heart.
To be quite frank, things simply can’t carry on as they are for much longer as it’ll only get worse.
