the essential
After its draw in Lyon this Saturday January 18 (0-0), TFC remains in 8th place in Ligue 1, four points from the European places. A dream that is possible, according to the Australian midfielder, starting for the first time this season in the championship at Parc OL.
It's the eternal question after this kind of match: was it a good point taken in Lyon, or are there any regrets?
A bit of both. We are proud of this point, but there was a way to do better. We had a good match, we created some chances… To win in Lyon would have been special, so we're a little disappointed.

OL – TFC: Has Toulouse found a new weapon with set pieces?
What did he miss?
We played our counterattacks quite well, but sometimes we faltered in the last move. In the second half, at one point, I passed to Josh (King), and the ball hit Yann (Gboho)… It's the little details that make the difference in these kinds of matches. But we remain proud of the team, proud of our efforts… It's been a big week.
Do you feel a progression in the team, which allows you to claim European places?
-We think game by game, honestly. We didn't really set any goals. But it’s certain that at the moment, we are close to these places, so we can dream. We gave ourselves the means, with the efforts made in the first part of the season.

REPLAY. Lyon – TFC: “We have a bit of regret today…” Toulouse gets a good point but could have claimed better against OL
How did you experience this first start of the season in Ligue 1?
It's not easy when you don't play at all, to then have two matches of almost 80 minutes each (he also started on Wednesday in the Coupe de France against Laval Editor's note). So physically, it was a little hard but it's so nice to play again, to feel like we're part of the team. Starting at Parc OL, scoring in the Coupe de France, it was a good week for me.
