Résumé

At Salar de Uyuni, in the southwest of Bolivia, Jérôme Pitorin begins his journey in the middle of an immense desert, in what some people call mother earth. On the other side of the country, in Tuni, he meets Init, a guide, for a stopover with a local. They then go for a walk in the Andes and then go to La Paz, the capital. After exploring the city and taking a cable car ride over it, he joins Elena, a member of a group of hikers. These women who break the codes take Jérôme for an ascent to 5,000 meters above sea level, where oxygen is scarce.
