Tracker: McTominay fires Napoli ahead against Atalanta, Barcelona lead Getafe

It’s the weekend again and that means one thing: ! Plus, all the continent’s major leagues are back in full force with some heavyweight clashes to come from Italy, Spain, Germany and England.

21:00 CET – With Atalanta and Napoli well underway, Barcelona have just begun their match away to Getafe in the two big games of the evening.

20:52 CET – have moved up to eighth in Ligue 1 after piling more misery on ’ dreadful campaign with a 2-1 win.

20:30 CET – Moving to Spain, Alaves have notched a vital 3-1 win over 10-man Betis in LaLiga.

20:26 CET – Over in the Premier League, Arsenal have missed a golden opportunity, surrendering a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Aston Villa at home.

After Liverpool’s win earlier in the day, Arsenal are six points off the pace-setters but the Reds have a game in hand.

20:10 CET – The late game in Spain today sees Barcelona taking on Getafe away from home. The Catalans will be hoping to capitalise on Atleti’s loss earlier today – a win would leave Barca just three points behind the LaLiga leaders until Real Madrid play tomorrow, that is.

19:56 CET – Juventus have broken a run of three Serie A draws with a 2-0 victory over AC Milan thanks to second-half goals from Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah.

18:09 CET – Atletico Madrid have missed the chance to go four points clear at the top of LaLiga with Leganes claiming a shock 1-0 win after Antoine Griezmann missed a 90th-minute penalty.

17:55 CET – Full-time and Liverpool have picked up a huge three points in Brentford with Nunez’s two late goals giving them a 2-0 win.

The other two late afternoon kick-offs ended with the same scoreline, with Fulham winning 2-0 at Leicester and Crystal Palace winning 2-0 at West Ham.

17:50 CET – Darwin Nunez does it! The striker has come off the bench to give Liverpool the lead in the 90th minute and then make it 2-0 in stoppage time! What an impact!

17:23 CET – A late second goal from Mohamed Amoura made things nervy, but Bayern Munich have held on to beat Wolfsburg 3-2 and extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to seven points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen’s evening clash.

Elsewhere, Stuttgart beat Freiburg 4-0 to move up to fourth above RB Leipzig, who couldn’t find a winner after throwing away their 3-0 lead against Bochum.

17:00 CET – Bologna have moved up to sixth in Serie A with a 3-1 win at home to Monza. They’re now well in the mix to qualify for the Champions League for a second season in a row.

16:54 CET – Bochum have done it! Dutch striker Myron Boadu has drawn them level with a stunning 15-minute hat-trick!

16:47 CET – There’s very little to report in the Premier League after the opening 45 minutes of the three 16:00 kick-offs, with each of them still goalless.

In Germany meanwhile, a stunning comeback is brewing with Bochum fighting back from 3-0 down to now trail RB Leipzig 3-2.

16:19 CET – It’s been an excellent opening 45 minutes for Bayern Munich, who deservedly lead Wolfsburg 2-1 thanks to goals from Leon Goretzka and Michael Olise.

15:55 CET – The first LaLiga match of the day has been won by Sevilla, who have beaten Girona 2-1 away from home to move up to ninth and within two points of their opponents.

15:32 CET – Newcastle United’s winning run has ended emphatically as an astonishing Justin Kluivert hat-trick helps Bournemouth to a shock win away from home in the Premier League. You can’t say it wasn’t deserved though, the away side were up from it from minute one and took their chances on the counter with ruthless efficiency – 4-1.

15:10 CET – As Newcastle search for an equaliser against Bournemouth, the lineups are in for the next wave of matches in the Premier League.
