Solid Garnets | Club de – FC information – FC training

A week after a first shock, in (0-0), the Grenats continued with the reception of another contender for promotion: FC. In search of victory for three matches, FC hoped to resume its march forward this Saturday with the reception of the current second in the Ligue 2 championship BKT.

Facing the Parisian team, Stéphane Le Mignan returned to a four-defender pattern and Papa Amadou Diallo took advantage of this to find a place in the Messin eleven. Also, Arnaud Bodart and Idrissa Gueye celebrated their premiere at Saint-Symphorien.

From the start, the Messins tried to set their pace and quickly showed their advantage. Ablie Jallow lit the first fuse and forced Obed Nkambadio to lie down to concede a corner (16th). This first set piece was decisive. Upon receiving Gauthier Hein's offering, Matthieu Udol rose higher than everyone to deflect the ball and Papa Amadou Diallo was quick to place a flat foot and thus open the score (1-0 , 17°).

Well in place, FC Metz quickly came close to the break. Following a Parisian corner, the Grenats went on the counterattack and Koffi Kouao ideally served Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly. Unfortunately at the end of his rush, the Senegalese international tried his luck without succeeding in worrying Obed Nkambadio (22nd).

Not worried until now, the Messins were quickly caught up in the score. Jean-Philippe Krasso took advantage of a high recovery to deceive Arnaud Bodart with a clear and powerful shot (1-1, 28°). From the restart, Paris FC was not far from punishing the Grenats when Pierre-Yves Hamel and Jean-Philippe Krasso missed each other in the area (46°).

This fear passed, FC Metz pressed the accelerator again. Following a precise cross from Gauthier Hein, Idrissa Gueye delivered a furious blow with his helmet and managed to shake the net for his first at Saint-Symphorien (2-1, 55°). The PFC intended not to stop there. Arnaud Bodart had to work in particular to repel Alimami Gory's vicious shot (66°).

A few minutes later, FC Metz managed to widen the gap. As orchestra master, Gauthier Hein cleverly shifted Papa Amadou Diallo. The latter, after eliminating his opponent, scored a double with a nice shot (3-1, 71°).

Little worried until then, Arnaud Bodart was decisive at the end of the match, for his first start at home. He signed a double save (83°) to keep the score unchanged, enough to delight the 19,526 supporters present.

The referee whistled the end of this top-of-the-table match. XXL victory at home for our Grenats who won against Paris FC, thanks to goals from Gueye and Diallo.
