Tennis, at the Australian Open the singles draws align with the round of 16

The 2025 edition of the Australian Open comes to life. The men's and women's singles draws are in fact aligned with the round of 16, effectively bringing the tournament to the heart of things. Two Italians are entering the round of 16, both in the men's category, Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Sonego. Lorenzo Musetti and Jasmine Paolini were eliminated among the women. Among the big names outside Taylor Fritz, number 4 in the world, beaten by the 38-year-old Frenchman Gael Monfils.
