Télématin: why has Maya Lauqué been absent for several days? She reacts and announces her return date

Télématin fans noticed a significant absence: that of Maya Lauqué. The one who usually replaces Flavie Flament was once again missing from the set. Here's why!

Patrick FOUQUE – Télévisions

Maya Lauqué is one of the emblematic figures of French television, particularly known for her pride of place at the presentation of Telematin on France 2. Alongside Damien Thévenot, she hosts the morning show on the first public channel, a position which allowed her to make a name for herself with a whole new audience. Before this adventure, Maya Lauqué began her career as a sports journalist, starting on TPS Star, where she was advised by her brother, a football enthusiast. She gradually added new strings to her bow by working on various projects, including The Daily on France 5. But it was his arrival at Telematin which truly marked a turning point in his career. This allowed him to have the opportunity to host prestigious events, such as the 2024 sporting events, in tandem with Louise Ekland who had the misfortune to see the set evacuated as you can see in the sequence below:

But in recent days, many viewers have been asking the question: where is Maya Lauqué? Absent from Telematin for some time, the 45-year-old host has been replaced by Lucie Chaumette. Her fans expected to see her again after the end of year holidays, but the presenter took a well-deserved break. Since 2021, Maya Lauqué has co-hosted the show every weekend, and her absence surprised those who assiduously follow the show. On She reassured her admirers by announcing her return on January 27 but this time, it will not be for Telematin. Maya Lauqué will indeed resume her duties on the 1 p.m. news, leaving her morning fans to wait a little longer before seeing her again.

She is Flavie Flament's joker

Meanwhile, the show Telematin continues, and it is Flavie Flament who was chosen to replace Marie Portolano, just before the 2024 Olympics. This new mission seems to delight the former RTL host, who finds herself at the head of a morning. Flavie Flament, who now co-hosts with Julien Arnaud, says she is particularly happy to “get out of your comfort zone”. The duo works wonderfully and quickly adapted to the mechanics of the morning. Flavie Flament seems perfectly at ease in this new role and is attracting more and more attention from viewers!
