The sun will be present over a large part of the country on Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 19. Although the sky will be largely clear, temperatures will remain very cool.
The days follow one another and are similar in this month of January. The weather should be fairly constant during the weekend, with persistent cold throughout France, reports BFM TV.
On Saturday, frost is expected locally, particularly in the Val de Saône. The mist should be present on the plains. The weather will even be overcast in the west of the country, from Cher to Ille-et-Vilaine. In the afternoon, only a few high-altitude clouds should be present but the sun should dominate a large part of France.
Temperature-wise, they will be in line with seasonal averages. The mercury will hover around 0°C in three-quarters of the country at the start of the day, with -1°C in Lille and Bourges, 0°C in Metz and La Rochelle and no more than 3°C in Tarbes. Only the Mediterranean coast will benefit from more pleasant temperatures, with up to 13°C expected in Perpignan.
Disruptions planned for Sunday
There will be little change between Saturday and Sunday, the weather should remain roughly the same. The day will be marked once again by the cold and the presence of frost in the northern part of the country.
-Fog will be present while the sky will remain clear in the south. Winds will reinforce the disturbances, particularly in Corsica, which will lead to heavy showers in Corsica.
Temperatures will also be similar to those of the day before. In the morning, it will be -1°C in Strasbourg, -3°C in Bourges and 4°C in Montpellier. In the afternoon, the mercury will not exceed 3°C in Paris, 5°C in Vichy and 9°C in Montélimar. It will be up to 15°C in Marseille.
