KV Mechelen has strengthened itself with 21-year-old attacker Keano Vanrafelghem, who switches from Patro Eisden to Malinwa. The talent was quickly noticed by KV Mechelen, and Sporting Director Tim Matthys is very pleased with the arrival of Vanrafelghem.
Vanrafelghem, who came into the spotlight at Patro Eisden this season with 8 goals and 6 assists in 15 games, has signed with KV Mechelen for 4.5 seasons. Matthys is enthusiastic about the attacker’s potential on the club website.
“We are extremely happy that we were able to sign Keano. He has a lot of creativity and scoring ability, which only makes the team stronger. The competition was fierce, so it’s great that he chose our project.”
With the arrival of Vanrafelghem, KV Mechelen adds a new attacking option to their selection. This is the club’s fourth reinforcement in this transfer period, after the arrivals of Hammar, Welsh and Nacho.
-Tim Matthys emphasizes that the club makes its ambition clear with these reinforcements. “With these new signings we want to show that we are ready to fight for the top of the league. The club has the right mentality and I am grateful for the support of chairman Van Esch.”
The 21-year-old Vanrafelghem is therefore an important reinforcement for KV Mechelen. He can make his debut for the club next Saturday, when KV Mechelen takes on KRC Genk in the AFAS Stadium.
